Glass Owls

Glass owls are a popular collectible and have been for a long time in many cultures. They are made in an astonishing variety of shapes, colors and glass types by many manufacturers of handblown glass. As I write this, a search for glass owl auctions brings up over 300 items.

If you study those auctions, you quickly notice prices are all over the place for items that look very much the same. With a little more study you start to understand many sellers really know very little about what they have listed. Some seem to call every piece of glassware they sell by one of the two or three names they know; accurate or not. The price differences are the result of knowledgeable buyers who know the subtile differences that increase or decrase value.

We have collected owls made by Kanawha glass, Viking, Glass, Pilgrim glass and others. On the glass owls website we display pictures of pictures of them that show the details you need to know to buy intelligently. Whenever possible we photographed items side by side so the differences are highlighted. The collection includes many kinds of glass owls with comments about their manufacture and other items of interest.

Listed below are a few of the several hundred glass owls currently for sale on Ebay. If you see something interesting, the link will take you directly to that auction.

We are building a network of EAPG websites, the hub of which is Early American Pressed Glass. From that page you will be able to link to many other sites which feature pre-selected pages showing auctions for a variety of other handmade glassware.
