Viking Fairy Lamp
This two-piece molded glass owl fairy or hurricane lamp by Viking Glass Company has become a popular collectors’ item. It is made to hold a small candle in the lower portion. The top piece functions as a lampshade and is open at the top so the flame can ventilate. This particular color, named “Bluenique Epic, was introduced in 1970 by Viking Glass. Many glass collectors collect the Epic Blunique items, which were made in many other forms, and certainly not limited to owls!
This lamp is 7 inches tall by 3.75 inches wide, with the base measuring 2.75 inches across.
